Latest Courses - Beginners Reflexology Courses
The latest Beginners Foot Reflexology 6 week course is running now with 5 ladies enrolled
We are including more areas on the foot than in our larger groups at whoosh! and will be looking at everyone's family needs for particular ailments and illnesses!!
whoosh! update
whoosh! in Chelmsford has been a great way for us to reach larger groups in a purpose built learning centre with plenty of parking. Whilst courses have been free for the last few years, funding is under review and itis now expected that students contribute a fee towards their own learning. Check the whoosh! website for future bookings on a large variety of interesting courses. We will be putting the next whoosh! courses on our dates and prices page to keep you up to date on the latest course schedules.
New Nutrition for Novices 1 day Workshop
1 day workshop on Friday 15th September to include how to interpret food labels, portion sizing, food and how it affects mind and body and money saving tips for healthy shopping. Heather Helm of Nutre-Balance, an extremely knowledgable Nutritional Therapist and Tutor will be sharing her knowlege with us. Contact Carol for the full course outline or to enroll. The cost for these workshops will be £45 and ex-students receive their usual £5 discount.
3 Hour Workshops in Iridology - Feedback and future
We had some very helpful feedback on the sessions and will be running more in future. Session length will change to give longer for looking into more eyes as we learn and to allow a bit longer on the personality and the iris. We will still include a 15 minute iridology consultation with our specialist Kathryn Meader. Iridology uses examination of the iris of the eye to gain information about physical and physiological changes within the body that effect heath and also takes in inherited conditions too. There are some good pictures on "learning chrysalis" facebook page which will give an idea of what we did. The workshops are an informal look at how iridology can help professional diagnosis and for general interest to build up knowledge of how it is done. Students won't leave the course being able to "diagnose" themselves but will have had anough practice looking in each others eyes to spot the main iris "signs" and what they may mean.
Next 10 week Aromatherapy Course
In addition to learning massage techniques to the whole body, you will learn about a selection of essential oils and how to incorporate safe blending and storage for use at home on family and friends.
The next course starts on Thursday 23rd September with a maximum of 6 people at a cost of £130 which includes the cost of all oils used in class.
Indian Head Massage - Feedback for the last two workshops
Two very successful days were enjoyed by 6 ladies in total - where are all those men!!!
The students all enjoyed trying the techniques using a carrier oil on the skin as well as through clothing and feedback from home treatments has been good so far.
If you are interested in future dates, please contact Julie as she is hoping to put on another day in the Autumn if enough people are interested.
FAMILY LEARNING INDIAN HEAD MASSAGE - lovely workshop held with 9 parents and their children, both girls and boys, in the Easter Holidays. Lots of very clever young people out there!!!What is Indian Head Massage?
The aim of Indian head massage is to release the stress that has accumulated in the tissues, muscles and joints of the head, face, neck and shoulders. It can be especially good for relieving stress, tension, fatigue, insomnia, headaches, migraine and sinusitis.
